About : – The total land occupied by Palamu district is 1599 km. On the basis of geographical features, Palamu district may be divided in two parts. The First part is hilly area and the second part is plain land. The hilly part comprises Borio, Barhait, Pathna, and Taljhari blocks and the second part consists the plain land as Sahibganj, Udhwa, Barharwa, and Rajmahal. The Gimani, Bansloi, and the Ganges rivers are flowing by this area. The total population of this district is 11,50,038.
